= copying the speech of a native speaker.
= helps with processing English.
=> Select & repeat a portion of native-speaker
dialogue verbatim and almost simultaneously - you may use transcriptions of the dialogue for reference,
Use the Reverse button to repeat a section
until you’re comfortable resaying what the speaker said, copying the speaker’s
pronunciation, emphasis, and timing.
When you feel comfortable repeating
what you hear, hide the text using the right side menu, and try repeating each
line exactly the way you hear it.
Once you can comfortably repeat what
the speaker is saying, after they say it, listen and repeat what the speaker
says as they say it – not waiting for the speaker to finish before you speak.
You will need your earphones to do
this - record yourself & check if you sound like your model.
Here is one
- not the best one (I couldn't find any satisfactory one - so i have
decided to wait for you to post some), but definitely a fun one. You may also consider the final
in Singin' in the Rain
or look up what your app provided has on offer.... I've just seen some great-looking apps.
A student once used this
from V for Vendetta
- another tried this
from My Fair Lady
, but starting with Peppa Pig
may be helpful too ...
